Our annual mouth guard event made a triumphant return in August 2021!  In a single evening, we fitted 52 members of the Modified, JV, and Varsity teams from Brockport High with custom sports mouthguards.  Last year, we had to cancel the event due to Covid restrictions, so it was a great feeling to be able to support our local teams in 2021.

Mouthguards are essential for contact sports! 

Mouthguards are important for any child or adult who participates in sports.  Every year, 10-20% of sports injuries include damage to the teeth and gums.  Damaged teeth are incredibly painful and can be expensive to fix. Wearing a mouthguard during practices and games is an easy way to prevent damage and protect teeth.  However, many parents don’t have the time or money to get their child to the dentist for a mouthguard.  

At Brockport Smiles, we’re proud to help our athletes protect their teeth and their health so that they can get out onto the field and play their best.  This year’s event was bigger than ever, and required “all hands on deck” from our team to make it happen!

Due to COVID restrictions, we had the teams sign up and wait outside the office. That way we minimized the potential for spread.  

Brockport Smiles Supports Blue Devils Football

We took each player back to fit them for their free Battle Sports Science custom mouthguards and also gave each player a case with their name.   

The event went smoothly, and our players, parents, and team all went home happy.

We’re so glad to be part of a post-Covid return to normalcy.  It was wonderful to meet this year’s Blue Devils and their families! Keep working hard and making us proud on and off the field!
