Santa Claus was extremely generous to Brockport Smiles over Christmas. The jolly man in the red suit sent one of his top elves, Buddy, on a very important mission: to spread Yuletide cheer, energy and wide grins at the best dental practice in the area. 

Buddy was a superior assistant when it came to helping the Brockport Smiles staff ensure that the practice’s Covid safety protocols were up to their usual excellent standards. His inspection was very thorough and much appreciated! 

Also during his visit, Buddy did his best to help out the Brockport Smiles staff at the front desk. Then, at the equipment-sterilization center, Buddy eagerly put on the required eye goggles and medical uniform, both for safety’s sake. 

Despite his unfamiliarity with how a dental office works, Buddy plunged in with his usual whole-hearted passion. The whole staff raved about his enthusiastic attitude and can-do attitude. 

For all his generous Christmastime efforts, Buddy was rewarded with a dental checkup from Dr. Barber, who provides gentle and compassionate care to all of her patients. Dr. Barber quickly discovered that Buddy is a huge fan of candy: When he opened his mouth, she could hardly believe that whole pieces were jammed in there! 

Kellie Speer, a Brockport Smiles registered dental hygienist and member of the Smile Makers team, cleaned and shined Buddy’s teeth so he could return to the North Pole with excellent oral health and a sparkly smile. Brockport Smiles was grateful for Santa’s generosity and hopes that Buddy comes back next December!
