Brockport Smiles’ July 30 ice cream social to celebrate Dr. Max Thaney’s 10-year anniversary as the owner was a smashing success! Fifty-nine guests enjoyed the sunny weather, happy atmosphere and meeting Brockport Smiles’ newest DDS, Dr. Lindsey Barber. 

“The past decade of owning Brockport Smiles has been a pleasure and a privilege,” said Dr. Thaney. “Our whole team and I love our patients, and we thoroughly enjoy giving them ultra- modern and top-notch care.”

Just like the rest of the Brockport Smiles team, Dr. Barber is fiercely dedicated to treating her patients with distinction, patience and an innovative outlook to dentistry. She was trained at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine on Long Island. She is proud to provide gentle and compassionate care while using the most cutting-edge techniques and technologies. 

The ice cream social’s pièce de résistance was the visit from LuGia’s On Wheels. Its six delectable flavors—Birthday Cake was tops among the kids—and tons of toppings were the perfect remedies for the high temperatures. Even a pair of pooches joined the fun: Dr. Barber’s puppy, Denny, and a beautifully spruced-up dog from Brockport’s own Barkport Grooming.

The occasion’s relaxing and fun atmosphere was in keeping with all of the other local events and organizations with which Brockport Smiles is engaged. In addition to excellent and unsurpassed dental care, of course, Brockport Smiles is all about area unity and involvement.
